What Medicare does not cover at home

Original Medicare pays for part-time skilled care when a doctor orders it and you are homebound. It generally does not pay for the following.

Personal care

Bathing, dressing and using the bathroom, when that is the only care you need.

Homemaker help

Cleaning, laundry and shopping, when that is the only care you need.

Delivered meals

Meals brought to your home are not covered.
